Default Oil Leak Please help

98 gs 400

I've been searching but I would like some other opinions. From what I've found is it could be cam seals or valve cover gaskets?

Ive attached some pictures.

The first arrow is fresh oil on the outside of the gear and the second pic is just built up gunk thats on the front part of engine parts (alternator, compressor, power steering pump, etc). It wipes off easily though.
