Hey Guys...
I have a question. I'm very much mechanically inclined and know to myself that I have a better piece of mind when I perform my own scheduled maintenance tasks (oil change, tranny fliud change
etc....I even feel comfortable changing an Alternator if deemed necessary)

Will doing things of this nature to the car void the CPO warranty or create problems in the event that a non-wear item breaks unexpectedly and I need to use the CPO warranty?

Do they reference your service history before fixing a warranty item? Do Gaps cause a problem?

I know there will be gaps in my service history once I get my hands on this GS430 and yes I plan to
do only what I'm capable of doing? Do I really need this CPO stuff?

Can someone provide me with the 128 point checklist for Lexus's CPO inspection.....

from what i can tell, unless they can prove that the defective parts are caused by your own service, they can't deny CPO.

I was told that if I take my car somewhere else (my friend owns a service station), just have him sign the service book. Or, if I did it myself, to keep the receipts from the oil, filter, etc...

Don't know about CPO, but that's what I asked when I bought my GS.
