Default double checking myself...

I found a guy selling a new set of wheels and tires.
the size is 20x8.5 +26.5mm and 20x10 +40mm for 05+ mustangs.
i am not afraid of using spacers. i had 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 on the other gs i had.
i just want to make sure the offsets are do-able with spacers.
i think i would need 8.5mm spacers for front to get +35mm.
but the rears scare me. tirerack shows BOTH +35 and +40 for the rears. i dont really want them to stick out.
help will be appreciated.
