No, Sir. This country has strict rules for LHDs only. Any car which is RHD or converted to LHD won't pass vehicle inspection and emission standards

This car was designed as for U.S & Canadian market but never exported and spent it's life back in Japan
Correct me if i'm wrong but this is what i've been informed.

That's stupid. Like it has anything to do with emissions..
But then again women aren't allowed to drive a car there so I'm not surprised there are those kind of idiotic laws there.

Edit: I like driving my RHD car in a LHD traffic. Actually I like it so much I wouldn't want to change back to LHD car.

Simple to figure out all the skepticism. Whats the first character of your VIN, is it a J, K, L, M, N, P, or R? Then yes it was made in Japan.

If its an S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, or Z, then it was made in Europe.

If its numeric up to 5, then its made in the US.

EDIT Its the second character (letter or number) that determines what country the car is made:

Every GS ever made is imported from Japan, they were all made there.

Right. So what does that letter/number in front of the VIN mean?
I know my car was made for RHD traffic country (UK).
I'd reckon that it's not made for Japan markets because it lacks the japanese letters (and obviously it's GS, not Aristo) in the VIN plate.

Made in Japan and made for Japan is two different things. If it is made for Japan it has to be right hand drive

Yeah but the question was what does the J mean in the VIN if not the country it was made in?
I know the car isn't made for Japan market but for Europe and more precise for UK market.


Edit: The explanation of the first three digits doesn't apply if the car was made in Japan.
