So i've been searching over the past few days and couldnt find any confirmation on which wood grain steering wheel and air bag works for the 99 GS300.

Only sort on concrete info i've found was you need a 2000 rx300 wood grain steering wheel and a 2001 rx300 air bag can anyone confirm this? An exaact part number for the air bag would be awesome.

Don't think the 98-00 GS came with wood wheels. You should look for 01-05 RX300 wood wheels and air bag.

yes i know the 98-00 didnt come with wood grain steering wheels. I just want confirmation on exactly what steering wheel and air bag to use on my 99. Reading through the forums it seems I need a 2000 rx300 steering wheel with the 2001 rx300 air bag.

I was looking for this mod as well. I'll be looking for a rx steering wheel. How hard are they to change.

I did a bit of research on this topic a while ago.

If I remember correctly, the '01 RX air bag is so that you get the chrome Lexus logo. I believe the '00 RX wheel is what you need for the wood, and if you don't care about the chrome "L", you could use a '00 RX air bag.

yes so the 2000 rx300 wheel is confirmed i just need confirmation on the air bag. Im hearing the 00 and under need specifically the 01 airbag because its single stage

You do need a single stage bag, search tells me 01-03 RX bag is what you should look for but check pictures of the back, a single stage bag will have one wire plug, dual stage will have two. If you're not sure, ask the seller.
