Default 2nd gen throttle body

I have a 99 gs300 with a throttle body issue. I have had the car numerously checked out by dealership mechanics. They all kind of gave a similar answer insisting that I try a new throttle body. So my reason for posting is: Is there anybody out there in Santa Clara county with a working function throttle body for a 99 gs300 part # 22030 46150 for a reasonable price.. Or if there is someone nice in the world to allow me to swap and try to see if the code po 1128 goes away and I have throttle reasponse back then I would much appreciate the lending of the hand and would still purchase know that was the issue. Ive been with out my gs for around 6 months and its pretty depressing. Would just like to have my car back... thank you for you time

sounds like you need a new one, i'd buy it off ebay if I were you. I had similar issue, it was throwing at least 4 different codes and would stay in "limp mode" . Dealership wanted $1000+ with dealer discount, I bought a used one on ebay for around $250-300 and it ran fine. Most people aren't willing to remove theirs off of their car to let you try it for the sole reason if it breaks for whatever reason during your "test" now they'll be in the same situation as you.

order from a place that has a warranty. There's one from Sacramento, that guarantee that it works for at least 30 days. I cant remember the ebay name, its been a few years but they should still be around.

Try getting the dealer to fix it for free. Read the last couple of pages of this thread.
