Default 2000 GS300 (Projector vs LED lighting)

Im currently in the market to replace the front and rear lighting in my 2000 GS 300. Ive noticed a couple different styles of lights...projector and LED. Is it just preference in style or are there pros and cons to both?

LED tails are brighter and give the GS a less dated look. Projector headlights give better output than a reflector bowl and too give the GS a less dated look.

You are correct, unless they are retrofitted. And no, not all GS's are HID, that was an option.

projectors are going to give you the best performance in terms of brightness and width and being able to use HID properly and safely. Once you've driven at night with a proper projector retrofit, you'll never want to get behind a car with halogens anymore. and also, there are cheap ebay "projector" headlights that are horrible, i'd stay away from those. I've currently got a set and working on making a comparison thread.

A projector is a projector, there are halogen projectors and there are HID projectors. The ebay headlights with projectors are all halogen projectors and set to oem standards. Ebay (halogen) projector + HID vs HID projector with HID, the latter wins same with halogen projectors vs HID projectors. The only difference between all projectors are their peripheral view's. Obviously hid projectors will be brighter than halogen, but the illuminated square footage is close to the same. Nonetheless, projector beats reflector bowls all day long.

I second this. Just recently installed my LS460/Subaru quad retro and couldn't be more impressed (unless I could've found some LS430's)
