Wiring question - Ignition Circuit
hey guys.. I'm doing a custom audio install and I want to set up the stereo to stay on through crank. So far in my research, the best way of doing this is with relays and diodes to the ACC and IGN circuits in the car.
The question I have is: is there anywhere else to tap the IGN circuit, or is the steering column going to be the only place for it?
I have an 02 GS430, if that makes any dif.

I found an accessory power in the passenger side fuse box. Both fuses are unoccupied on my GS300. The one on the left is Accessory and the one on the right is constant battery.

Yeah, the add a fuses are pretty handy. The GS300 uses the smaller version.
Since there aren't any fuses in both of these spots you don't need the 2nd fuse in the add a fuse, just the one on top.

All cars have an acc and ign behind the deck, how else does a stereo work? I've been doing car audio for 15 years and not once have I done a car that didnt have a constant and ignition back there, its standard wiring for a deck. Just find the red and the yellow wire behind the deck and you'll find where the 2 wires are coming from.
