rudyH - This is a silly post, no doubt...but its still good to feel the love of the G. I should change he post to Jones NOT fading.

GSJake - The G and the 5 are both in the stable to stay...I'm not leaving.

ThomasGS4 - Those are 2 sweet Gs.

MattyG -

The G looks great in the garage and is actually sexier than the 5 when I line them up next to each other. But the turbos and handling of the 5 are just ridiculous to me. I have to keep reminding myself that 30mph over posted speed means you go directly to jail for 2 days..."must chill, must chill".

Anyway, I won't post to this thread anymore because my jones is still strong!

Nothing wrong with being silly. That was too harsh anyway. Just remember, these are just cars.

Are you 100% firm on keeping it stock? Some tasteful mods might reinvigorate your love for the car. Even a slight drop does wonders for the profile of the 2GS. What other cars have been catching your eye lately? If it's in your budget, I would try to find a way to keep my GS AND buy a different car. Personally, I've had my eye on a few E36/46 M3's and I've always loved Mustangs. I might buy something to satisfy my urge and add some variety and then sell it later but I'll NEVER sell my GS!!!

Edit: lol I posted this before I read page 2... Congrats on the Bimmer! Love BMW's and their performance. Hate repairs.

Glad to hear you still love your GS Ripper. If you lower it slightly and get the right wheel/tire combo (and I mean no extremes here) yes this car wakes up, but it comes down to the money.

Right now I'm wondering what I would do in the next couple of years.

There's that siren song of the last great M's - especially the E92 M3 coupe and the E60 M5. The last great V8's and V10's. (Edited to reflect the last of the great V8-V10's from that era of German Ubercars.)

Lexus Jones ain't so different from all those other Jones

Here is an inspirational post.. these cars are indeed beautiful but they are going on almost 2 decades...i find myself in the same conundrum of possibly putting her up for sale...she cometh and she goeth from craigslist...

They won't be the first to try and fail. My low IQ is my defense!
