Aftermarket steering wheel
Hey everyone, just bought my 2000 GS400 last week, so I'm still a noob when it comes to the Lexus scene (I've owned Hondas all my life). I have a Nardi woodgrain wheel that I had in my Prelude before I sold it, and now I'm wanting to put it in the GS. I have a few questions regarding this:
1. By purchasing an aftermarket hub, will this affect my ability to move my steering wheel using the little **** on steering column? (I don't know what else to call it)
2. I have the "paddle shifter" buttons on my stock wheel. By removing the stock wheel, and putting on the Nardi, will I have any problems with the transmission and the "sport mode" setting? I don't use it as it is, and I've heard that since this was the first generation GS to have it, it has given people problems, and so I don't have a desire to use it.
3. By installing the new wheel, what kinds of codes will it throw?
4. Anyone know of a good place to get an aftermarket hub? I had a Works Bell on my Prelude, and liked it. I would rather have something of that quality versus one made by NRG.
Thanks in advance, and please pardon my ignorance.
