Does anyone have the proper way to remove this component of the GS seat?

Just pull it off. I had a friend pull it off while drunk by accident one time.

no, you don't just "pull it off"

There's 2 screws on the very bottom of these.

I like the "just pull it off" method better! Seems way more simple than using the screws
