Need Help Identifying This Part on my 1998 GS300
Hello and thank you all in advance. I am new to this forum and also a first time lexus owner. I just picked up a 1998 GS300 a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. That being said, I have a small issue that I have not been able to find the answer to (I have searched for hours).
I have been throwing an evap code since I got the car. That hasn't bothered me but I had not got around to messing with it yet. Anyway today she started making a strange noise sort of like a helicopter sound but not very loud. I popped the hood and traced the noise to this part which ties in to a vacuum line which I believe hooks into the VSV. Problem is I am not sure what this part is to order a new one.
I'm certain the noise is coming from this part, or a bad hose connecting to it, because it stops when i grab or move it. I am attaching pictures of the actual part as well as a picture of the vacuum hose diagram with the part I think it may be.
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me. And if I overlooked the obvious answer in my searches I do apologize.

I finally found the answer after a few more hours searching. It is a Fuel Vapor Feed Pipe, part number 23818-46110. Looks like about a $10 to $15 part. Hopefully this helps someone else down the road, but mods may feel free to delete or lock this thread as they see fit.

glad you found your answer. be sure to check around for any loose hoses. behind there some ends do not have clamps, they just slide on, and just a gentle bump can knock them off.
FYI, there are part diagrams available at forum sponsor sewell lexus, which has very fair discounted prices once you login and register with a clublexus id

Will definitely check for any loose hoses. Funny you mentioned Sewell because that is where I found my answer. I was not aware of the discounts though, thanks for the heads up.
The diagram I used can be found here if anyone else needs it: http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...S300-2003.html

the diagram you linked is for an IS.
While most of the parts maybe the same, you might as well just use the right one and use the diagram for GS.
hot tip:
To save on shipping, think of all the other maintenance items you might need in the short and medium term and just make a bigger order.

Thank you again sir. The part number for the vapor feed pipe is the same, however the hoses have different numbers. Might not matter but better safe than sorry. The correct diagram for the gs300 is here: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S300-1998.html
