Default Picked up a 99 GS300. Opinions and thoughts please.

I picked up a 99 GS300 after searching for a potential vehicle to do a 2JZGTE VVTI swap on. The car has some bumps and bruises for being a 15 year old car, but runs and drives very good. It has 180k and has been maintained by the previous owner. It needs some paint work on both bumpers and the passenger fender has some damage from a previous broken ball joint. (His wife drove it primarily)

What do you guys think the car is worth and what would you have paid? I think I got a great deal on it, although a friend of mine thought that the car needs too much paint work and isn't clean enough (according to his standards) for me to invest my time and energy into swapping it.

I think you got a good deal. How much is a swap typically?

I think you can get everything you need for between $2500-$3000. Motor, trans, ecu, rear diff, driveshaft, Intercooler, intake with MAF, and fuel pump setup. An exhaust is probably around $400ish.
