Nice car. Amazing performance and I can't blame you for switching over. The one downside of Infiniti is they tend to depreciate quicker than Lexus. Hopefully you have solid equity in the car from day one just in case. Enjoy!

Woooow! I was all over this car when it first came out in 2011, my cousin waited till 2012 to get the 56-S in Silver. It has rear steering like the GS F sport, it runs just as smooth as a Lexus to me and the torque is strong. But it was traded for the Q50 6 months ago. OP you'll love it, hopefully you show some updated pics on your new ride.

I would rather keep the GS, and still get the M56. You have a 430? Your car is really lovely.

Before I knew anything about the 2nd gen GS, I thought the GS300 meant that they have 300hp, and the GS430 had 430hp, I think it would've made more since that way.

Thanks. I would love to keep them both too but i don't need 4 cars.

Yes unfortunately newer technology catches up eventually and of course our cars are aging which means little problems need fixing more often.

I like that the Infiniti has back up camera and things like lane departure/blindspot.

But congratulations OP. 420 hp... wow that's a kapow! sledgehammer of an engine. Personally I"m was always more inclined towards the G series which is now the Q50 but they don't come with that motor.

I'm not gone yet! I'm not sure I qualify as an OG either.

A lot of smaller, sportier cars were on my radar including an IS-F. My wife was actually the first one to suggest something smaller, sportier for myself. But at 6'3'' with the wife and three kids, my oldest son is 13yo @ 5"8', I chose a full size car. It just happened to be one with mid-life crisis HP.

Most of our family driving time is spent in the wife's SUV but I still like to have the room if I need it. Unfortunately after riding in this car my sons have started to protest being in the SUV.

I did not get in one, just was looking and comparing online. I had considered a 2IS before I bought my 2GS and did get in one at that time. It was a little snug but not bad at all for me as the driver. The person that would suffer is the one that tried to sit behind me.

I had a 06 WRX until last year and I fit almost perfectly in there too. An extra 1-2 inches of seat slide would have been perfect but even without it no one could fit behind me.

Dam bro you made a great upgrade. Infiniti cars are solid as can be. Up to parr with Lexus. Enjoy the new ride. You should keep the GS tho and try to compromise ☺☺☺☺. Enjoy the beast fam!!!! #GodBless

Actually that makes sense for a family car for you at 6'3". This car is the ideal compromise other than an LS but I don't think those are as sporty although they look pretty good.

Like you said, you're not gone entirely from this forum. You'll have to give us an "apples to oranges" comparison of the driving dynamics of the "56" to the GS.
