Hi. I am having a problem with a p0753 shift solenoid A code from hell. I have had the transmission replaced and it is still giving the exact same code and doing the same thing. The car shifts fine and so did the previous tranny. No slips, jerking or stalling with either. All solenoids were checked after install of the new transmission to be on the safe side and they were all good. Could the ECU be causing this problem. Pls help. Thanks

Same thing happened to my buddy's 06 gs300. Replaced the ecu and good as new

Thanks for the info. I have taken it to several shops including a Lexus specialist and have gotten the run around. I was even told by a transmission shop that its probably the solenoid. Thats when I replaced the tranny and had the same problem. Hopefully the ecu fixes it

Do a pinnout test @ the ECM and ohm out the suspect solenoid circuit. Thats the only way to narrow it down. If you have correct ohms ect, then unplug the transmission connector and you should loose continuity on that circuit. if you dont, then suspect harness problem. If ohms/cont are good then you have a bum ECM. The driver for that solenoid has crapped out and giving bogus OBD signals.

How can I access the transmission connector, will I have to drop the transmission again? And also what tools will be needed to perform a pinnout test? Thanks

Should be able to just drop the crossmember and let the trans drop a little so you can get your hands on the connector. A multi-meter is all you should need. I dont have the schematic handy but betting Google will turn up an ECM pin layout.
