hey guys, so yesterday morning my 98 gs400 started to make this annoying whining noise coming from the engine bay, the noise gets louder as i rev up the engine. did some diagnosis with a long screwdriver listening for the source and noise was the most obvious around the serpentine belt tensioner area. replaced the pulley on the tensioner which needed to be replaced badly. but the noise still there... . so my question is can i just remove the tensioner ( http://goo.gl/4Dzx34 ) without removing the alternator and stuff like that out of the way? i removed the 3 bolts on the tensioner shown on the link above but the tensioner doesnt even move...

Sorry guys resolved my problem. I need to pull the alternator out of the way to remove the tensioner
