What you said just made me want to change mine now. I can go for some crisper acceleration without lag. What's the labor like for a 01 430? Is it a quick job?

battle version makes solid aluminum mounts, which are in the one of the above pictures. they make both horizontal and the vertical mounts. Figs only makes the vertical mounts, I emailed to see if they make the horizontal or are planning to anyways.

I do. I actually have Figs version and it was enough for me. However dmpesso, I can't help with install instructions since I had a shop do mine.

Thats fine can you tell me then how long it took and price? Want to know what im getting myself into before I start. Is it a bushing that needed to be pressed out or is it actually removable?

Figs does have both, but the vertical mounts are the problem I believe. I ordered some, they should be here by today and I'll have them installed tomorrow!

And the vertical mounts have to be pressed out, they don't just come out.

I have both of these from FIGS:

The large ones in the back of the diff:
http://shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?rou...product_id=236

The pinion mounting ones:
http://shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?rou...product_id=232

They got rid of any clunk I had when shifting from P to D or to R and vice versa. They also helped with the car jumping off the line better. They are definitely an upgrade worth doing, especially the pinion mounting ones. If I was on a budget and could only afford one set I would do the bottom ones(pinion mounting ones).

When I change gears I hear this kind of high pitch *tsirp* sound. Is it normal and is it related to the diff mountings or is it completely related to the gearbox?

might also be the rear knuckle bushing . after reading that DIY last night seems like that solved many of the noises in the rear and shifting from P to D etc.

Did u install them yourself or it has to be done by a mechanic with presses? Also were they solid alimium or polies? Any vibrations transmitted into the cabin?

Actually now that I think of it the sound comes from the tranny area. I can hear it clearly when the door/window is open.

They are. On figs website they even say that a press is highly recommended.

you could probably use a ball joint press tool....
