If its the best deal and it drives straight and no obvious sloppy paint jobs then GO BUY IT dont wait any longer!
Nothin local (st. Louis). Looked at a 01 gs430 w174k that was in rough shape, $6500, firm. Found an 03 at a dealer w/ 123k, no records $10k. Not to mention several 400s, all over $6k, all over 100k, most well over 150k. This was really the best deal, best recorded car I could find within 500 miles.

I agree. I like to know that the parts replaced were replaced on my watch so I KNOW what I'm working with and am comfortable with the state of the vehicle. The unknown scares me. With very high mileage, who knows what was done to it and how it was hidden, what shop was being used and the brand of parts the car was replaced with.

I paid the asking price, $8400, plus $300 in dealers fees. It was really clean. Not perfect, but really nice for the year. Looks like the previous owners really took care of it. Only thing that doesn't work was the memory seats/steering wheel, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
Drives amazing. I'd driven 2 others before this and just can't get over how smooth this car is. So comfortable, it's nuts.
I'll try to get some pics this week. Car had 4 new Michelin as3 as well.

84 is high but new tires and smooth ride makes it worth it because most the stuff was probably changed already. especially with the low miles. Only thing is you should never ever pay the asking price at a dealer, they must've known you wanted it. I made that mistake before. You can't show them any interest or they won't budge on the price. At least it's a clean one! Good buy! Post some pics!

It's nice to see them with these many miles. Makes mine feel like a baby with my 145k. Gotta love Lexus for building a car that can run on original engine and most IMPORTANTLY original TRANNY!!!! I think Lexus is the ONLY car that the tranny doesn't go bad no matter the miles. LEXUS FOR LIFE!

Well, they were originally at $8600 when I began to speak with them. It was an odd spot for me to be in. For the first time I didn't really have a daily drver. The market is really dry here (and even around the surrouindg 4-500 miles). The lowest mileage that I've seen in the past 4 months was 120k on the body (140k on the engine) and he was aksing $6950.00 For what I was seeing for them with much higher miles, I'm wondering if they were just trying to move it due to the age of the vehicle. They also installed a brand new amplifier in the car.
I know from experience what you are talking about, I'm in STL and I got a GS400 a few years ago. Sounds like what I went through. Took several months of looking (and I included GS3's in that search) and I still had to travel to Chicago to get one. What color is it so I can keep an eye out for you around town?
