New to the site
What's going on guys just bought a 2001 GS300 about 2 months ago. Bought it as my daily driver and said i was going to keep it stock. Well the time has come to start upgrading. Going to start with the sound system.
The plan is to start in few weeks, on trying to figure what fits what doesn't. What will take the longest to do. One question i do have is how do you remove the rear deck? Links will work too.
Been ready for over 2 months and this seems like a great site.

Welcom to Club Lexus. The instructions for your question and MANY more can be found in the ★ 2GS FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and DIY Thread ★ which is stickied at the top of the 2GS forum. Look under INTERIOR > AUDIO & GADGETS > SUBWOOFER REPLACMENT.
Serching may produce additional results. I would search for 'rear deck removal.'

I installed it all myself in about an hour. Not hard to do and you learn and save money! Yay! Haha
I like this setup because you can still haul a good amount in the trunk. Anything bigger is overkill in my opinion. This thing hits harder than I care to hear at times haha but it's reliable. 3 years with the same system. Not bad at all.

Welcome to the club. Glad you brought up modding the sound system. I've been putting off doing mine for months now. Seeing your post made me get off the stick. Going to look at a Pioneer tomorrow.

Welcome. I personally have 2 12inch alpine s7s in a sealed box sitting on that little ledge like thing in the trunk. I took out the stock subwoofer. I'm running it bridged to an 800 watt Rockford fosgate amp. Along with legit 10 copper wire throughout. It bangsssss so much. Very clean crisp non resonated basss.
