Default Replacing knock sensor without removing manifold.

Every thread iv been reading has been saying u need to take the intake manifold off to get to the sensors. There was one thread on a different forum saying that if you remove the EGR valve and PCV hose you can get your hand into the V area of the block and with a 27mm wrench you can replace the 2 KS, I was just quoted 870$ for a shop to do it and if anyone has done is this way( thru the EGR valve) I would like to Make this thread a DIY with pictures, so noone has to spend almost a grand on just 2 sensors or 5 hours doing it themselves by taking off the manifold.

Just posted this in your other thread. I have never heard of the EGR method but I did the job without removing the intake from the vehicle just over a year ago. Just lifted it up, changed them, and then put it back.
