I just bought a new set of Stance ST1's.

Running 20 x 8.5" front and 20 x 10" rear and its lowered on Tanabe DF210 springs. Whats the most rubber I can fit on there without having to do more than roll the fenders.

I want to go with 255/35/20 Front & 295/30/20 rear to give me as much rubber as possible.

If those are the widths you're set on going with, I'd go with 255/30 and 295/25. What offsets are you going with?

NorthStyle is right Thats the biggest you can go on those wheels. But it would depend on the offsets.

If you have higher offsets 8.5 +35 / 10 +38 the tire sizing is fine. But if you got the lower offsets 8.5 +15 / 10 +20 for the flush/stanced look then you will need to roll and stretch like a 225/35 front and 255/30 rear

255/35-20 + 295/30-20 is really quite a bit too tall for the 2GS.
You can make it work, but expect the front tires to rub the fender liners when reversing with the wheels turned. It hits enough that ultimately it will wear through the plastic and just rub on the metal, especially in the region of the dead pedal (opposite side of the sheet metal, obviously).
Without offsets, we really can't say if or how they'll work or not.

Keep in mind 255/295 tires are wider than the wheels, so the tires will overhang the rim front & back sides and changes the clearance due to that overhang.
Those widths are conservative so I would go no bigger than 245/35-20 + 285/30-20 if you want a "tall" set up - I don't like how it looks when the tires are a lot wider than the wheels, but that is a personal thing (245/285 would look a bit more "square" on the wheels than 255/295).

Also, I think these cars look better with shorter sidewalls on 20" so I would go 245/30-20 + 285/25-20 on that combo.
For reference, I am on 255/30-20 20x10.0" + 295/25-20 20x12.0" - minor stretch.

Socal, you have a picture of your latest setup. Last I saw, you had 20x11.5's. I want to see what the new wheels and the stretch looks like.

Offsets are +35 on front and +38 on the rear...

With 295-30-20 on the rear and the 255-35-20 on front , it will be like riding on wood wheels with no tires ... just saying , although I realize that what you want is the maximum tire size possible .
I would put 245-35-20 at front and 255-35-20 at the rear , to obtain a decent ride if the car is not slammed all the way , with no rubbing problems.
There are sacrifices to pay for the slam look and the low wide tires ... anyway , it is something to keep in mind .

I'm confused on why you would run a 255 35 20 in the front? It just wouldn't make sense if the tire hangs over the wheel and makes the tire taller.

245 30 20 for fronts would be my choice... Unfortunately last year i replaced the fronts with 245 35 20 and the tire is to tall and rubbed the liner on occasion until until i took a heat gun to it...

Ok, thank you. What are you running on the rear and are you on springs or coilovers?

Sounds like I might go this way:

245/35/20 front
285/30/20 rear

That keeps the overall diamater almost identical. I just like the most rubber I can get and am not a fan of the sretched look. I want the tires to be squared or close to it. Better?

me personally I want to go back to 245 30 20. It was a much better fit IMO with my 32 offset. the 35 looks tall to me.

rears are 275 30 20

coilovers, need to shave the rear in order to go lower... I'm just barley hitting the plastic piece on the fender...

no mod to front fenders.. only heated the liner to prevent rubbing... it has helped but next tire is 245 30 20

Im gong to go with this to give me a little more sidewall for ride since Im not on coilovers and only mildly lowered.

245/35/20 front
285/30/20 rear
