Default Help! ABS/VSC/VSC OFF light on and Radio problem

Hello,

Just joined Club Lexus, thanks in advance for your time and any help you can offer. I truly appreciate it.

My car has intermittent indicator lights on and the the radio has missing display sections. I've attached photos of the issues. Thanks again for any help.

You most likely need to replace an abs/speed sensor. You'll need the codes read to find out which one though. Once you know, they can be purchased from rockauto.com for fairly cheap, and really simple to replace yourself.

As for your radio, do you mean you're missing pixels?

You will need to see what codes it is dropping to know for sure what the problem is. There are a number of issues that can cause the lights you are showing. I had a timing belt skip some teeth and got these lights along with codes P0303 and P1346.

It is possible that there are issues with the vehicle stability control (VSC) or ABS system. However, these systems are sometimes disabled by the ECU when other problems are detected. You can go to just about any auto parts store and they will pull the codes for you (assuming you have a Check Engine light on). Report the codes back to this site and someone will likely know what the problem is.

btw, the radio is a separate issue and has nothing to do with the dash lights or the performance of the car. My radio display has been bad for years but the car runs like a sewing machine.

Thanks for all the help guys. I really appreciate it. I attached a pic of my radio issue. Also what device can read the codes? Any obd2 reader, or something more complex? Also FYI the abs/vsc light only appears intermittently, do the lights need to be on to have the codes read? Thanks again for all the help.
