Question Need Help Buying Tires - 2002 GS300

I've searched the forum and the 2 posts I've found are older. I did post in them hoping for an answer, but I need to buy new tires tomorrow.

I'm looking for tires to replace the Michelin Pilot Exalto 225/55/r16 currently on my 2002 GS300 Sport Design. I can't afford the Michelins right now. Noise and ride comfort close to the Michelin is important to me.

I drive mainly in town, not a lot of highway. I'm a bit heavy on the pedal but not over 80 on the hwy... around 45 all the time in town. I tend to cut it wide when I turn and I use the car's handling when I'm in a curve.

Any suggestions for a low noise, good quality tire?

Look into Nitto. I'm running second set of Michelin Primacy MXV4 on my GS300, but run Nitto 555's on the GS350

I bought some continental pure contacts off tire rack, fairly cheap and had the best reviews, they handle very well for an all season tire, but not as smooth going over bumps as the old bridgestones that came with the car, noise is minimal

Pirelli P7 Cintrino very good tire, also contiental Pure Contact Plus, and DWS (but lower mileage)

P7 is a good new tire good for winter also.. 70k miles and very smooth and handles well.

I got the Michelin primacy tires v rated 16 inch stock, very quiet and good handling tires IMO, will last over 50k with tire rotations.

they say 70k for the Pirelli's lets see if that's accurate.. I'd be happy with even 40k-50k..
