Default Just got my new Eternity Key!

I just got my new Eternity Key from the dealer. Mine had just broken in half. I'm really pleased with the quality. Although it doesn't have the"L" on the back! I still like it. You also get a lifetime warranty. Best $131.53 I've ever spent. The funny this is that while I was waiting to get my key at the dealer, another couple customer were also waiting to get theirs done. I recommend them to anyone.

...what is it? You said yours had just broken in half, how did that happen...stuck in the ignition switch? I've had the key fob shell crack but the key has always been an eternity key, just the shell is an issue. I'm not being smart, just confused/not understanding.

On the OEM key shell, many people with different Lexus models have been having issues with their shells cracking in half. As we all know, you need the remote to be able to start the car. I bench press about 425lbs and squat about 350lbs, etc. I have a pretty firm grip. I can't afford to keep breaking keys so the Eternity key solved all my problems.

that's a lot of money for a key. I just bought one off ebay for $20 shipped. that included them cutting the key. That key place is ripping people off because let's be honest...how many times has anyone broken a key or case during the life of the car? My car is a 02 and my shell gave away 12 years later. Will I have this GS in another 12 years...idk. I have another OEM spare key, but decided to try the $20 key off ebay and it works just fine. Now I make sure to grip the key at the screw before I turn.

I guess some people are harder on keys than others. My wife has broken two in a 18 month time frame. Me, I can keep them forever. Thinking about getting an Eternity Key for her. At her rate, it'll pay for itself in about two years.

Yes you do.

Try starting your car with just your wallet key. If your transponder just so happens to break and you misplace it, you're assed out.

I tried a flip key for my gs off amazon for $15
now it looks good and the key is strong doesnt seem to have any weak points that will cause it to break

Default hard to find in Los Angeles

My local Lexus dealer wants $335 for an original replacement key "plus programming charges", and does not sell the Eternity key because "it was too expensive and no customers wanted it" LOL The nearest Eternity Key dealer is 25 miles away and they are not answering their phones. So I may have to work hard to get an Eternity Key, but i KNOW it will be better than the original piece of crap Lexus sells. I have broken two Lexus keys.
