Hey everyone I have a 98 Gs400 with factory navi headunit, the non nakamichi one. The past week or so for some reason when you turn up the volume over a 1/4 of the way the music cuts out. It will cut out in the front and play in the rear for a couple seconds then comes back on in the front for a split second. It will continue to do it so I have to keep the volume real low in order for it to play constantly. I even turned the bass all the way down but it still does the same thing. Today I removed the factory pioneer amp and swapped it out with a friends and it did the same thing. Could this be an issue with the headunit????

Your internal amp in the headunit is most likely shot...

Ok I was gonna look into replacing the headunit in the next few days. Thanks for the info
