Default New 02 Leuxs GS300 owner!

I was handed down a 2002 Lexus GS 300 for my birthday, It runs great and I wanted to get opinions on if I should do stuff with it. It has 200K miles so i'm not to sure if its worth getting nice rims, engine touchups, exhaust system and stuff along those lines, Due to the fact i'm not sure how much life is left! Would really love some feedback!! Thanks

Welcome to the club. As long as the car is maintained you'll be fine it will literally forever if you take care of it. Make sure the timing belt and water pump has been changed and if youre lowering it make sure you do the ball joints. Leaving a bit of stuff out, look in the 2nd Gen GS forums and look through the Stickies, theyre helpful.

Welcome to Club Lexus. I have an "00 GS300 with 184k miles on it. I bought it with 124k on it. I plan to keep it for at least another 100k and fully believe I can do so with proper maintenance. I just changed the timing belt, water pump, plugs, VC gaskets and a few other maintenance items. The ball joints are still in good shape. Although, I bought ball joints and tie rod ends anyway, just in case; just haven't put them on yet.

I think you will find more than a few forum members with multiple 100k miles on their cars. With proper maintenance these engines are practically indestructible. Anyway, good luck.

Nice car. Be careful with modding. It can get addictive and expensive. Lol
