get the lbjs and the caster arm bushings done, the rack will propably not do clunking. it is propably the play in the lbj that is producing the sound.
Steering Rack Bushings are max. 20 minutes work, 5 bolts and the whole rack is hanging loose. i had an air hammer do the work for me, within seconds the old bushings were out.

It didn't feel like there was play in the outer rods, but should I replace them anyways if I'm already doing the inner rods?

I did the 12 o clock and 6 o clock play test and it was solid. The clunking is more of a feeling through the steering wheel than it is a sound.

And I don't have an air hammer, however I did see a tutorial on here for replacing the rack bushings, it didn't look too hard. Where could I find these replacement bushings in oem style?

Thanks guys!

I had the good honest shop take a look at it today And they said the rack was fine and the tie rods looked okay.

What bushings exactly could cause this problem?
