Man those miles are great achievements! The brake booster is scary lol, it can go bad anytime having no choice but to sell the car or shell out 4 figures. But I trust it...

Wow, on a GS300? That's incredible. Have any tips for a fellow GS300 owner to get than many miles? (Besides regular maintenance) I just cracked 93k on my 02.

haha i mean other than proper maintenance, there's really not much else. it's my daily and what we use for long distance travel (because my other half drives an SC400, and let's face it- it's not so roomy for long trips) NO ONE drives that car besides myself and my boyfriend. mines an 01. most of the miles on her are highway miles. She's my second child.

Why would you need to shell out 4 figures for a break booster repair?

I'd be nervous about a worn out AT transmission. Other than that, major items are pretty reliable. It's usually owners sell the car before reaching that mileage, or they get tired of replacing small, expensive items, such as window motors, AC units, inop sunroofs, front end issues. Owners feel is not worth the money to replace certain items due to cost/mileage benefit ratio and sell the car, usually at a very low price. And then there are suckers like me who buy them.. Lol.

thats good to hear that the engines last long. i just hit 134k (had it since 78k)

once in a while the trans shifts a little funny. but thats it. seems to happen less often (or maybe its gone) with the inline trans filter

Default What will be the death of my 98 GS400?

It will most likely be a drunken uninsured motorist (a*****e) that brings an end to the best car I've ever owned.
