Default Rack and pinion question

Kay guys before you yell at me for not researching! I want you to know that I did tones of'em just couldn't find a useful answer. Kay now back to business.... The left boot (driver side) on the my car's rack and pinion has been leaking for almost a week now, like a few teaspoon worth of oil every time I drive it! But the power steering reservoir still on the full mark when car is warm! Can the transmission fluid leak through the boot? Or does the tranny has nothing to do with the rack and pinion. The steering inside the cabin feels a lil stiffer but maybe that's just in my head.... Oh yeah its a 98 Gs400.

when you get low on power steering fluid try using Lucas power steering leak stopper. I have used a couple of bottles worth and my leaks have pretty much stopped. Mine was more near the pump not the rack but I think it helps just the same. Doing this on an old Camry also and seems to be helping. The Camry is leaking at the rack.

Thought about using this lucas leak stopper but i think imana replace the whole rack. got a used one with 62k miles on i for $160 shipped. My only concern why the power steering reservoir still on the full mark? Its been a full week now since i first noticed it....
