Hmmm has paint and bodywork done at 127k miles. Not reported on Carfax.
3 pages of service history. stops at 127k miles though and it has 160k miles now.

Did find another one in town with 96k miles (seems like full service history). Getting more details and pics. Black interior exterior, only summer driven,

Sounds like that one has potential, parked winters goes a long ways and black on black is a great combo.

The Des Moines guy wrote back that the original owner traded it in to dealer (owners 1and 2) sold at dealer auction (owner 3) dealer titled as personal car (owner 4) then current owner (5).

Did the last owner pick up the car at around the 127k mile mark? Maybe that explains why the paint and body work was done (pre-sale prepping/touch ups) and the dealer maintenance stops? That's a definite red flag if he does not have good records for at least oil changes during that time period and I would want to know the extent of the body work done and why.

He picked it up 20k miles ago. The previous owner was the dealer who used it as his personal car which probably explains the bodywork. The current owner says it was a front bumper repaint and a quarter panel repaint both mino enough not to be reported.he does know that the majority of miles came from the first owner who took great care of it which are reflected in the owners site service records. Had its 100k service done.

The black on black is at 11k. I think that's high. What's a fair price given its miles 96000 and relative rarity?

Ok. Got VIN, 9 pages of Lexus service history. Started out in OH for the first 5 years of life, then moved here.
