Default Foot to hand brake conversion

Hello,

I have a 98 GS which I am planning on getting a 2jzgte vvti swapped and use a R154. I am interested in knowing if anyone has tried to convert their foot ebrake to hand ebrake. I have seen Orido Max's 2nd gen GS with what looks to be a hydraulic one, but I also read on a 1st gen GS with one done using a supra hand brake. I think it should be pretty straight forward just checking to see if anyone has done this. the pics are below:
