I bet if you can find the cost of the valve body for both cars like I did with the manifolds you will most likely see the gs4 being more expensive

The VB will not interchange in the 400/430. The shifting parameters are programmed differently on the ECU. The GS430 VB is directly from the LS430. The shifting patterns are similar to the LS due to the VB difference. That's most of the reason why the car became "less sporty" is because the updated VB is based off the one from the LS430. Luxury was more important than sporty.

You can modify the 430 valve body to shift faster, but some people find it to be too rough once the VB has been modified. However, it will shift significantly faster.

Aha that explains it. So around how much would it cost to modify the valve body like you say. And while I have an experts attention like yourself JeffTsai. What are your thoughts on the blitz throttle controller to make the 430 more responsive like the 400 it's supposed to eliminate the delayed throttle. I got the blitz auto light for $190. Wondering what you thought about it and if it has any negative affects on the car. Thanks bro!

Jeff is Correct. I have both cars and the GS430 is so much smoother ( really smooooth ) its very LS like feels similar to the LS430 I had.. The GS400 is def snappier in a sportier way but its not as quick-shifting as people think in stock form, that is why my Tranny has a TC and its night/day from stock.. The extra torque from the GS430 make the car easier to drive (stock GS430 vs stock GS400). The stock GS400 is more Revvy and is a blast to drive but its full torque comes in later than the GS430.

The GS430 "feels" stronger but the GS400 is a hair quicker (Stock).

Edit: Modded Tranny in GS400 is Perfect with TC and 3.76 LSD. (Car should have came like this from factory)
