Leaking Fuel Tank: 3/4 to Full Only
Gents,
I have a leaking fuel tank. But it only leaks if the tanks is full, to about 3/4 full or so...maybe a bit more. I'm guessing perhaps a seal where the fuel pump is...or perhaps the filler neck to tank connection? When I get under the car and check for leaks, you can clearly see it's coming from the top side of the tank.
Any ideas? And as far as accessing the top of the tank to check for connections, do I only need to remove the rear seat? Or is it more than that?
Thanks a lot!

You can see some of the top parts of the tank through the fuel pump cover plate and the fuel sending unit cover plate if you remove the rear seat. You can also lower the tank a bit by loosening the strap bolts at the front part of the tank. You might to support the tank with a block of wood and jack. I would be surprised if they are the source of your leak. Is it leaking on passenger side or driver side. My leaked at the flange where the two halves meet. I was able to stop the leak for a few months using j-b weld.
