No it could just have been damaged enough to start making noise.... And your lugs should not be what comes on the vehicle but what your wheel calls for. If they were shank style you need the shank style lug, using an acorn with a shank style rim is dangerous and unsafe. make sure you use correct lugs corresponding with the wheel.

Vegas Roads are smooth and nice, potholes really really minimal, like maybe 1 or 2, the worst the road gets Is they are just rough and uneven, but smooth for the most part.

Yup shanks style, and if you were using the acorns on that same wheel before that could have also added to the reasob the studs and lugs broke while going over the pothole.

you had luck in your bad luck. You guys are having a really nasty winter too (it's actually way worst then what we have here in montreal this year). Winter like these dosen't help the roads. Ours too are like baghdad. There is even a law so you cannot sue the government or city for damage caused by pot holes....

I had a butt load of angels on this one no damage no injuries no nothin just a 20 buck dent in my pocket...n I can imagine wat ur winters are like n a couple people told me to file a claim with the state before I knew how little damage was done so I guess Pennsylvania allows claims cuz of the horrible roads

Roads hear in North Dakota are deplorable. A common saying is we have 2 seasons. ***** cold winter, and road construction season.

I forgot to mention earlier. Double check the lug holes and hub center on your wheel. If any of them are out of round replace the rim. Also, after at least 25 miles of driving double check the lugnuts with a torque wench to make sure everything settles in properly.

I just put my 20"'s on and I'm being REAL careful not to damage my shines new wheels.

Your damage looks like more then what you stated. Hope it won't cost you to much.

Good luck.
