I have 01 GS300 with pioneer premium sound system w/o navigator. I tried to install a pionee double DIN dvd player using TYTO-01 harness but the system does not have sound. Is there anyone successful turn on the factory amp with aftermarket radio?

As far as I know, Factory amp is useless with aftermarket head units.

The factory amp is turned on by AVC-LAN signals, you can't use it without the factory radio talking to it.

I saw other models like IS, ES, LS and some toyota factory amp can be turned on by Metra TOTY or PAC TATO harness. I have not seen any for GS model.

Pretty much. Any decent aftermarket head unit should have an amp built in
