Provided Techstream keys not working

Provided Techstream keys not working
Anyone else have this issue? I can get to main menu and once I try to use the key provided with the software that came with my cable the registration window just pops back up like it didn't work. Also tried it when trying to connect to vehicle and same deal. It's version 8.2, drivers all seems to work and I can get to the user screen no problem. Keys just aren't doing anything.
