Default Rebuild in progress

Hi guys this is a part 2 to WTf...... just my luck!!! Which has been removed from my page so I can not find the original thread! So motor blew outta know where.... yada yada..... any how I found a motor 66k paid a good price on it..... I have a master mechanic from Chrysler (customer of mine) doing the install...... because the motor is locked up the tranny has to come out 2( or so I'm told ). he's doing this as a favor so I really don't think he would want to add extra work...... any ways.... he wants me to do all the grunt work n remove the whole front end of the car. So far I've got the radiator condenser T bar ( don't know the real name.... the bar that holds the hood latch) all out! Working on the head light Assembly now and I'm running into a problem because I think there is a bolt behind the wheel well covers....... Am I correct??? If so how do I get the covers off w/ out breaking the clips??? Not really clips but plastic screw with the inserts u push in to expand the ends! Is there a video out there? I checked you tube n couldn't find 1. Thinking I'm going to have to cut them n buy new 1's....... Thanks all. REACH

No need to take out the headlights for an engine swap.

You can use this to remove the clips from Autozone.

if you need to remove the headlights, start by loosening up the lug nuts and then jacking the car up. Remove the front bumper and you'll see the headlight bolt that you are talking about. Lower the car and tighten back up the lug nuts.

Hope that helps!

Why would I loosen the lugnuts on my tire???? I'm gonna pull the tire when I take the wheel well covers off .... n iI'm gonna take the bumper off any how but isn't the bolts on top left and top right corners of the assembly inside the wheel well??? Confused!!!

Complete disrespect for a veteran member who has been around the block a few times. Can't say I appreciate that.

Seriously disrespectful. I can't believe you posted in the wrong section for this in the first place and then are being rude to someone who is just trying to help. That's not gonna get you very far on this forum, buddy.

First you must remove the Custom Emblems.. Then you can remove the LSJuan.. Is it Aristo JDM?

I'll go w/ the guy who's a master mechanic n know the situation n has been "around the block" him self....... I've been here for few years my self n I see the mentality n negativity all the time!!! I didn't ask u ur opinion about ripping apart the front end..... I've been to multiple mechanics to get quotes and all said that it had 2 b done.... so when he said it also I assume all of them can't b wrong!! Anyways like I said he doing this as a favor so buy pulling the tranny that's more work. No logical person is gonna go that Pro bono.....
