New to Lexus GS430
HI Everyone,
I've been lurking for a little while, so I figured I'd post. Recently bought a 2002 GS430 off of my father, since he was looking to switch to a new car. Longest I've ever seen him drive a car. Even with 146,000 miles, I can see why! Great car, huge upgrade from the cheap Fords and Nissans I've been driving. It's Onyx Black with a tan interior. I've never been a big fan of chrome wheels, but I love the 17" OEM chromes! Great power, decent handling. Only downside is my mpg in Atlanta is 17-18, and that's babying it.
It's been very well kept, with the only exception being a lot of chips in the paint from highway driving. Unfortunately I don't plan on doing too much to it since I'm in an apartment and it's my daily driver.
The only issue I've had so far is moisture issue in the headlights. The original drivers side Xenon bulb decided to explode (didn't know they could do this) last weekend. Glass all over the reflector bowl and bezel. Long story short, I had to take it to the dealer to get it replaced. I went by today to pick it up, and they had put in a clear bezel headlight...
I tried talking to the dealer and they swore that's the part number that came up for the VIN, and they've never seen any green bezel headlights. I'm pretty sure from searching on here that it was standard for 01-05s, and the couple of GS300s at my office have the green tint.
Can anyone offer any advice here? It's still sitting at the dealer waiting to have the other side replaced with the clear chrome, but I'd rather keep the green. The part number they put in was 811703A860. This doesn't line up with anything on Sewell's website!
Thanks!

Thanks. Paint definitely has some swirls and a few small scratchs, but nothing you can't see in a photo or from 10 feet away Interior is in great shape, except it had the fake wood added inside when it was bought. Most has peeled off, leaving some fun residue. I'm slowly replacing the parts.
I'm very confused now about the headlights. I logged into Sewell and the part suddenly appeared (or I'm just blind). I don't understand why they list a clear headlight bezel as the part for my car!

You can buy the green tint headlights on eBay as well as sewell (I thought the green tint was the only headlights they offered, cause I checked for halogens and they didn't have them)

If I had more time, I would have bought them off eBay and done it myself. Oddly, the green ones on eBay have the same part number. I already spent two weekends trying to fix them myself. Baked the headlights so I could clean out the reflector bowls. Somehow managed to break the leveling adjustment on the drivers side so it was stuck at the highest point. Awesome down-road coverage, but it was blinding everyone in front of me. Had to be fixed ASAP, so I took it to the dealer.
I'm keeping the old headlights. If I get bored and recover from the $1,200 I'm paying the dealer for both sides, I might toss some LS460 projectors in the old housings....

SMH at some of the responses here....to clear it up OP, you should have the green tint. ALL 01+ 300/430's came with green tint. The 02 SD is green, but the 03 SD is titanium. How can they say that they have never heard or saw green tint when they were looking at in ON YOUR CAR??
