I have a 00 gs3 and I was removing the spoiler and I decided just to cut the wires going to the lights in the spoiler. I figured it was just a power and ground. Sorry for the confusing thread. Jump to post 3 for the issue.

Thanks

So...I fixed it (somewhat). Sorry I jumped the gun, I missed the other fuse at the kick panel that says STOP! lol So the brake lights do work now.

But I am still having an issue, both of the upper brake lights on the left and right tail lights dont work since I removed the spoiler and cut the wires to it. Both of the bulbs are good.

^ The "upper" lights on the '98-00 taillights are not supposed to illuminate when you press on the brake.

Hmmm I could have sworn they did. Well my dash light is indicating I have a bulb out.
Do you think it could be because it is not seeing the brake light in the spoiler since the wires are cut??

Thomas is right about this.

But if you do want it to light up. Its just wiring up the un-connected wire on the taillight harness. Do a search since I forget what color the wire is.

you're right about that it doesn't see the spoiler light. I cut mine and re-wired it inside the car and my indicator isn't on.

Connect it back up and your problem should be solved.

Seems like BananaGS's DIY site is down. There used to be a link for this DIY.

EDIT: Here's the link to the DIY. Seems to be working now. http://bananags.grantham-internation...dedbrakelight/

Awesome. Thanks for the link! I think I will do that mod, I wondered why it had a dual filament bulb.
