Seen this really nice black on black 2003 GS300 SD today at my local Lexus dealer. Had around 105k miles on it.. they were asking $10k flat. It looked telly nice tho. In very good condition. No rips in the leather, woodgrain wheel, but no navigation.. the wheels were mint. No curb rash or anything. Had dark headlights tho. Looked HID but not clear like the lights on my 430 or like the average lights I see on GS cars. Maybe they were SD lights of some sort Idk. But dam I should've took pics.

So I went to the lexus dealer today to look around and saw a 2006 gs430 black on black with 78k miles. I called my sales guy and since he knows my car well he said my car plus 6k, I could take the 430 away, but threads with high mileage 2nd gens always make me rethink things like this haha. I actually even those my 2002 over a 2006 with high miles because I preferred the style. Decisions decisions

The 03 SD's had "gunmetal" colored bezels in the headlights.

I've contemplated the same thing, but looking at consumer reviews, I've seen a lot of complaints about the 3GS eating brakes, apparently it rattles inside like crazy, plus that 06 model uses an engine that wasn't used any other year, after driving the 4GS I know what I want my next car to be

The only reason I was considering is because it's a 430, not a 300. The new gs is insane my dad's good friend has a gs350 fsport with the dark wheels, brand new and it drives great. I also looked into leasing a new is250, but I just drive way to much. To be honest it'll be a while till i get a new car, need to finish college and law school first ha

I would think an 06' GS430 is reliable like the 2GS 430. I thought they had the same engine, the 4.3 V8 as the 01'-05' had. But just a newer body. All GS eat brakes adequately, and rattling can be fixed. Just have to know where the source of the noises are coming from. Those 06' models are really nice. If the engine in those things are as reliable as my 01' GS430, it's either that car or the SC430 next :-)

Sorry I meant the 06 gs300, i really would like to drive a 3GS, I love the look of them especially in black, someday I'll have a 4gs for sure, They have me one for the day when I got my timing belt done, nicest car I've ever driven for sure

I can imagine bro. Those are real spaceships. I want a 3GS in the future also. But only a GS430. I wanna that new body but with that old reliable engine. I've read allot on GS460s. They seem reliable but also get a few problems based on what ppl have stated. I have no doubt that with proper maintenance, all Lexus vehicles last long. We are lucky clients, definitely on the right team :-) !!

will be getting a Tundra (want more room and hauling ability). My wife has a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring, so there's no need for three vehicles. As far as mileage, with these cars its more about how they look/were taken care of than what the mileage is. Ive seen gs's with 100k that look horrible inside and out. Mine has 175k and looks/drives like a car that has 50k. its not unheard of for these to last 300K+ (evidenced by this thread), so 175k is just over mid-life (11 more years).

Good choice on the Tundra.

Yeah, I know the 2nd generation GS lasts a long time. I just turned 90k on my 02 GS300 and am looking for many years of reliable performance. That is the main reason I decided not to pursue your SportDesign as it wouldn't make sense for me to switch to something with 85k more miles. I do love that color combination. I'm sure you will sell it soon as it looks like it is in great shape.
