Default Who here has gotten aftermarket headlights?

I'm thinking of ordering some new headlights to give my car a nice new look (also getting the newer grille) my headlights are getting a little cloudy, scratched etc.. My question is whether anyone's got aftermarket because I can't find new oem halogens anywhere, and just didn't want to spend money on aftermarket if they're just gonna fog up or condensate right away, I've seen some on eBay for like 200-250 a pair, just wondering if people have had bad experiences with them

Default Same here

I cannot answer your question, but I'm wondering about that, also. I have seen a few aftermarket headlights on vehicles at car shows, and although they did look good, they did have condensation in them. I don't want to pay for anything that going to end up being trouble. I saw a great selection of aftermarket headlights on Car ID.

What I've done before on other cars was seal the new eBay headlights before putting them on. That will keep the condensation away. You could just sand and seal your oems

Op - why not spend about $10 and try cleaning your originals first. Meguiars PlastX and a couple buffing pads at pepboys will hold you over until u get the courage to just do a retrofit.

That product is also great for bringing back the shine on the chrome molding around the center line of the car. Breaks up calcium build up with ease. Just use a little on a polishing cloth with ur finger tip.

Not a problem fellas the stuff works. Some folks just polish and hit um with clear coat so they dont have to keep cleaning the headlights. With the above product i would polish every two weeks takes less than 10minutes chrome molding once a month. Do not us it on any other chrome trim it wont work the same.

if the cleaning prep and solution doesn't work the halogen lights from DEPO are pretty popular... i think a pair is in the $250 $300 range...
