TSW or Privat Black Mesh Wheels. Looking for opinions.

if i had a black car id go with all black but between these rims id say either cause they are so close. i honestly only see a minor difference between rims and dont see how different theyd look on the car, at first i thought one was all black and the other black with polished lip.

They don't, unfortunately... not in the mesh style (ES1).The darkest they have with a lip would be the on the ES6, which is available in gunmetal.
Although the ES2 and ES3 models are available in full matte black.

I have the Privat's on my car. 18x8 40et. Honestly, I only got these cause a family friend let me have them since he wasn't using them. Over winter I plan on plasti dip or powdercoat a different color. Wasn't digging the color combo too much. Just a visual if you need

Tsw offers 20 and 40 offset. Would the 20 offset in the rear bring the tire closer to the fender? Was thinking that might help as there is more room back there.

The lower the offset, the further the wheel will sit from the hub. Do you have a clue as to what sizes you'll be going front/rear? No one can really help you if they don't know what you plan to put on there. Offsets are just one part of the equation.

Im sold on the Varrstoen ES1's. I agree they look higher quality. Even though they dont have matte black they do have hyper black. What offset and tires would I want? I'm looking for the most rubber i can stuff under there without rubbing or modification. Im lowered on Tanabe DF 210's.

Well, they don't have matte black but you could always get them powder coated as, iirc, Varrstoen can do custom colors.
With the tire size that you want to run in the front, and the width you want to run in the back, you won't be able to run either without fender mods with the offsets the wheels are available in. The lowest the fronts come in are et22 which, if you want to run a 245, you'd have to roll the fender if you plan on lowering it. They used to have an et30 19x9.5 but it doesn't look like they produce them with that offset anymore. I'm running the same width and tire size in the rear, albeit in a 20" and I had to shave the fender for them to clear.

Well... that's really relative to how much they were rolled and also what you're willing to do to get them to fit. For example: my fronts are rolled, but when doing so the body shop also slightly pulled them... so currently I'm running a 19x9.5 et12 w/ a 225/35 however my wheels are slightly sunken so on my next setup I'll be running a more aggressive 245 or 255 tire and maybe a 5mm spacer.
I've seen another 2GS with the 19x9.5 et22 w/ 245/35 before, so I don't think you'll have too much of an issue fitting those. But honestly, that's just a guess since my first wheels were et12 and I had to mod the fenders to fit them.
