Deal or No Deal (swapped gs300)
Hey guys, im looking to pickup a 2000 GS300 that has a completed supra drivetrain swap. (Engine/Trans/Rear Diff). The chassis has 190k on it but the motor and trans only have about 26k. Interior is in pretty good condition and the outside is not that bad either. The vehicle does need a power steering reservoir and re routing of the hose. Other than that all else looks to be good. Is there anything I should look out in particular for? Also, what is the going cost on a car like this?
THanks fellas

JDM swap.. engine valve cover has Japanese writing on it. Motor is not stock. Has been coverted into a single turbo set up. As for the tranny, all I know is that it is a supra tranny. My whole point is just that. I dont know too much about the car other than the things that I have listed thus far.

Supra tranny doesn''t say much. A supra manual is worth $4500 and supra auto-tranny is worth $400. If it doesn't have a USDM ECU, it probably won't pass emissions.
Are you comfortable taking cars apart an putting them back together? That's sort of the skill the new owner of this project car will need.
You need to do some research then. A "supra" jdm swap with an automatic is probably $2500-3000 on ebay.

As I understand it they don't talk OBD2 which means at least in VA, they won't pass emissions. VA does emissions testing by talking to the OBD2 port and asking the ECU whether it passes emissions or not.
