Agree wholeheartedly. You've got a nice compromise there. BMW sixes are no slouch especially with a nice manual transmission.

North American drivers like horsepower and bragging rights, hence the 540 and it's issues.

Lexus on the other hand perfected all this to compete with a V8 auto to try and make some inroads into the U.S. market.

Not leaving Lexus

Just put a deposit on this 2005 Ls430. Briarwood Pearl/ tan with Nav. non UL.
Not my 1st or 2nd choice for color but it has grown on me and is rather rare. I couldn't pass it up. Car fax show . 3 owners living mainly in FL, regularly serviced with no accidents. Mint exterior and interior, new tires with 80K miles. I watched the price drop for several months and got it for $15,500 !

This will be my 3rd Ls430 ! I've owned two 2001 Ls430s,. Always LOVED the 2004+ Front refresh. It was the reason why I got rid of my last 2001 LS430. The Ls430 is an AMAZING vehicle. So solid and drives like a dream. I hope this one is problem free like the other two I had.

Just couldn't go with another car brand. Just seem too scary to own when I read thru the other car forums. Guys thanks for talking me off the ledge

I love 740i's. I hate pouring money into maintenance and repairs.

Do what I did, test the sale waters and see who bites. Expect low ball offers daily but you may get one person that appreciates your car and will pay close to your asking price.

The Ls430 quality is far superior to the GS. Everthing feels so solid as if it weighs twice as much as the GS. You get ALOT of car for the price. I had deep regrets letting the GS400 go but it is almost long forgot with the puchase of the Ls430

That's a beaut JLAWS. Glad the group intervention kept you from jumping off the "fiscal cliff"

I test drove a 90 LS400 a couple of years ago when I was looking around and I was amazed with the whisper quiet magic carpet ride of the big bruiser. You see the pavement ripples and bumps but you barely feel them.

I checked the German car forums too, and yeah... what I read pretty much scared me away too.
