Default weird tail light issue

was driving to work today on the freeway and all of a sudden the rear tail lamp warning light came on. checked at night and saw that my drivers side doesn't illuminate when i step on brakes. Turned on the light and all lights work fine, but still no illuminate when i step on brakes. I searched around and most people have the opposite of my problem which is braking light is fine but no lights when not braking. Would this be a bulb issue if my tail lights all work fine? Or could it be a fuse?

the taillight bulbs are dual luminescent bulbs so one stays on when the lights are on and then one comes on when the brakes are hit. sounds like your bulbs need to be replaced as the braking filament of the bulb is bad.

*wait are you saying NONE of the brake lights come on when you brake or just particular ones?

so JUST one bulb doesnt come on when you tap the brakes? it sounds like a bulb, fuses control the brake lights not individual brake lights so it isnt a fuse

not to be rude but is this your first car or are you super young?
