Default ABS Pic Needed

I replaced my ABS unit on my '98 gs400 with a 2003 unit.
I removed the 2003 pressure switch and put m y original one in its place since the plugs don't match up.

Works well but I'm getting a pressure switch fault (C1254) now.
I want to put the newer 2003 pressure switch in to see if that clears the code but I'd have to splice some wires to test my hypothesis.

Can some one post a closeup pic of their 2001+ abs pressure switch? I just need to see how the wires (three of 'em) match up to my old sensor.

thanks in advance.

Don't know how a picture would help. What u need is a wiring diagram of the 01-05 sensor. These sensors hardly ever go bad. Did you have any problems prior to the swap?

Here's a diagram of the 98-00.

Thanks.
Yea, put in an '03 abs/master the other day after my old one ('98) went south.
My mechanic said the abs/brake warning lights are on because either the pressure sensor or the abs/trc ecu is bad. Since I have the '03 sensor, I wanted to swap that in an see if that solves the problem

I think swapping ABS system between years is probably a crapshoot. You just don't know what changes were made in the years that follow. At the very least, you probably want to match up the VSC controllers. They're mounted under the dash near the brake pedal.

You've got a point. Gonna go to the bone yard and get one for an '03. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks

That's the issue: I put my old sensor back in but its still tossing codes that point to either the old sensor or the vcu. Sounds like you're leaning towards getting another '98 sensor (Y/N) Got one I could borrow?
