Default Y pipe exhaust leak

I have this bad exhaust leak in Y pipe converter. Where can I find this part much cheap enough or even a part out.

Most places told me to get brand new one to replace old one. The part itself cost little over $550. I want to get it used or somehow cheaper than $550.

I bought a new GS400 y-pipe off of ebay for $295. You should check there if you haven't already (the GS400/430 pipes are interchangeable).

I'm assuming the leak is somewhere inside the heatshield cover. A fix for me was to take 4 hose clamps, 2 on each side and clamp down the heatshield around the Y pipe. Worked perfectly.

Mine leaks as well, can't find a pipe either. I haven't checked eBay yet.

I'll see what I can do on the headshield as the "seal", it might help.

It is inside the heat shield cover but I live in snow belt and spend good amount of driving to Mass (a lot of salt used on roads compared to CT). Honestly, Its easier to replace whole piece for me.

This is all I find.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2000-LEXUS-GS400-4-0L-FRONT-EXHAUST-PIPE-RESONATOR-PIPE/251192616747?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D1638900725380010490%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D380587783179%26
Might work, but I am thinking of finding a shop and do a custom pipe that is made how I want it to be.

If you want the pipe between the cats and the pipe is just before the split to the middle mufflers.

Remember Resonator is the technical term for the laymans term "muffler"

Resonator = Muffler

Yeah thats where I have the exhaust Leak. My lexus do sound great at idle, that V8 rumble but sounds horrible when driving under the load.

I am planning to do muffler delete on my new to me BMW M5 so I want lexus to be quiet first so if my family want a quiet car ride, its there. My m5 will be a loud beast.

I want to get rid of the first resonator, but I will keep the rest. I want to make a nice smooth junction there.
