Damn now you got me second guessing it. I plan on having the car at least 2-3 more years as my daily driver and was only considering the wrap because I thought it was gonna be more durable then paint since paint always gets rock chips on the hood and when you repaint a certain section of your car the paint never usually matches which annoys the hell out of me. I assumed with a wrap you can just rewrap any section that chips or scratches. But now based on what you said it seems like wraps always chip or scratch and are much harder to maintain then paint. I wouldn't even want a matte wrap if it requires extra maintenance I like something worry free. That's why I got a Lexus in the first place lol

Especially sticky things like goo/residue you'll need soap and water.

As for tips, its all about prep. Make sure you degrease/clean it down good. Also when heating try to minimize because it will lift eventually when it's exposed to the sun. The way you can do a stretch test too is if you do a small incision and it creates a hole/split. You're stretching too much. I did the bumper in two parts. Top and bottom using the chrome trip as a divider.

I just wanted something temporary as I am probably going to sell the car soon. If you plan on keeping it, is rather paint unless you do the labor yourself. At least with paint its a lot tougher from daily abuse.

Yea matte red is kinda ugly in the 2GS I think it does look better with a shiny paint but I stil would love to see the dark grey matte on it I still think that or flat black might look good still.

Or maybe even some type of blue like the mica spectra from the gs4 but I'm not sure if it would look to corny

We just did a GTR in matte dark grey over here at my new work- Impresive Wrap in El Monte, Ca.
I must say I was pretty impressed. Came out looking real smooth and stealth

Since you saw it in person you think that color would look good on. GS. cuz I think the GS might look better in a shinier paint. Does that dark grey in person look anything like the plastidip grey above the blue audi on this thread? Cuz that one made me not like matte dark grey as much it looks real ugly on that car lol

I think the problem for the GS is that its too round so it can't pull off aggressive colours. like the red one, it just looks like a blob of red.

I think the GS would look pretty wicked in matte dark grey.
The one above the audi doesn't look that good, I'm not sure what the deal is with that one lol.

IMO cars with aggressive body lines would look great with matte but round big body I'm not so sure lol. But to each their own you should pick a color that you like not what everyone thinks is nice.
