Default 01 GS430 Knock Sensor(P0330)

Hey Fellas,

I have an check engine light for knock sensor 2 circuit bank 2 (P0330) for my 01 GS430. I would like to change both Knock sensors asap.. There are a few members who are parting out & instead of paying a lot of money to dealer/local part store I was thinking of purchasing the knock sensor from members who are parting out. Before i purchase i want to make sure i get the right sensors. What model/year fits/works for my 01 GS340? Ex- Does a 2000 GS400 knock sensors fits/work on my car. Chime in!!

Thank you

You have a lot of reading to do smh...search. This car has been around since 1998, plenty of info using Google.

You've been having some issues ever since you purchased the car huh? Tough break. ...
I don't know much about that particular problem however I have seen some threads on this. Search around. The engine performance thread in particular. May lead you to the source of what you need to do. GL

Default knock sensor

The knock sensors are located under the intake manifold on your gs430. Not really an item you want to get used. Spend the cash on new ones. You need to remove the intake. its not hard but takes some time. While doing the sensors its a great opportunity to do plugs, check vacuum lines, check seating of injectors, clean all electrical connections, ect... i had a lot of fun replacing mine. order a new gasket and be careful of the knock sensor wires. they can be brittle.

There is a DIY for this. Search for knock or starter replacement. Go oem so you don't have to do it again.

This is a great opportunity to clean all the nooks when you have manifold off. Have fun!

I'm not a newbie when it comes to forums. If I post a thread it's b/c i did do my research or use the search engine & still can't find the answer to my question.

Just minor issues like any 10yr + car... The only issues i had was ball joint snapping on me while i was picking up my son & sensors... I don't have no worries

Thanks for the information that i already know..LOL but I do appreciated bud...

I don't know how much the dealer wants for a knock sensor but my local part store wants $180-$190 for 1 sensor..smh.. I rather take my chances on buying a used knock sensor from a working/good condition running GS for a cheaper price and rolled with the punches until i get another check engine light or problem. It looks like i'm going to have to spend that bread that i don't want to spend b/c i'll be under the hood this Friday or Saturday

Im sure it was a typo on your behalf but I think he was referring to the fact that a 2002 gs400 doesnt exist. In your op you asked if the knock sensor from an 02 gs400 would fit your 01 430. Hope you resolve the issue GL

Thanks
