Default New on here. Need some advice/help

Hey everyone, I'm new on here and first time ever creating an account on a forum. I need so direction so that I post my thread('s) in the right category.
I'm a first time owner of a 1998 GS300 Lexus. I live in Jacksonville, Fl and I would like to put 24" Lexani lust rims. I am a mechanic and was wondering if there are any leveling lift kits that I may be able to install to raise the vehicle?

Welcome to Club Lexus. Nice to have you here. Unfortunately whenever i get a new vehicle i go South with the suspension not North. Maybe someone else here has this information. I surely don't

Www.donkerz.com or www.epicLEXUSfail.com ... Try one of those two cause NOBODY will tell you how to lift a Lexus GS except putting it back to stock height level from being slammed. 22's are the biggest that you will find on this forum. Never 24's. And if there were some members, I'm sure they either downgraded to a smaller whee size, sold the Lexus to get a Chevy Impala, or no longer on this forum. That's a different culture in cars you're getting into and that's not the culture we're into in this forum. Just a heads up. Check out the build threads on your year Lexus and you will see what I'm talking about. GL with your search on lift kits. I'm sure there's lift kits at your local corner wheel store that sells rims and tires for $600. If they can rig Chevys, they can rig your Lexus..

Thank you. Currently the car is lower 1.8" has tien shocks and stock 17" rims. If I'm unable to find a lift kit or raise it what are the biggest rims I can go with, with low profile tired.

The guy I bought my Lexus from had some 22" wheels on it and even to fit those they had to cut the sideskirts. Also our cars don't have the toughest OEM suspension and rolling on those big wheels will tear up your suspension so fast you won't know what happened. If you are willing to give some room some 20's actually compliment our cars nicely and with a little drop they can look good. I'd go 20's largest on our cars man.

Appreciate the info. Will do. Are there any 20" chrome rims you would recommend?

I mean wheels really go by personal preference. We do have a wheel/offset thread with a bunch of different setups in them that people have posted with pictures. Here's one with wheel setups that aren't on air and just lowered.

The style that the people on here tend to go for is more VIP than big blingy rides. Like was said, check out the build threads to see what people do more on these cars. You'll probably have to go custom suspension if you're after a lift / 24s.
